Women in Export, Trade and Investment Strategic Collaboration Update

This week, the Kuueza team had the honor of meeting with the President of Women in Export, Trade and Investment Nigeria (WETIN) — a leading organization committed to empowering Nigerian women in international trade.

During our discussion, the President expressed strong interest in a strategic collaboration between WETIN and Kuueza. She shared that many of their members are actively seeking platforms that can help them access global markets, especially in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.

We’re excited to report that the meeting was a resounding success, with both parties aligning on a shared vision: to empower women-led businesses in Africa by providing them with the tools, exposure, and logistics support needed to expand internationally.

This marks another important step in Kuueza’s mission to connect African products with global buyers — and we’re proud to support these incredible women as they grow beyond borders.

Stay tuned for more updates as this collaboration unfolds!

Market Insights

Global Buyers Are Prioritizing Diverse Supply Chains
With continued disruptions in major supply routes (e.g., the Red Sea crisis, increased shipping costs from Asia), importers in the U.S., Canada, and Europe are diversifying their sources. Africa is becoming a key focus region for products like agricultural goods, textiles, and natural ingredients.

Cross-Border E-Commerce Continues to Grow
According to recent global data, cross-border e-commerce is expected to grow by over 20% in 2025, with the highest demand for handcrafted, organic, and culturally distinctive products. Platforms that support last-mile delivery, currency conversion, and simplified logistics — like Kuueza — are crucial to capturing this trend.

Sustainability Is a Major Buyer Priority
Buyers across the U.S. and Europe are increasingly making purchasing decisions based on sustainability, fair trade practices, and product traceability. African SMEs that can show ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility are more likely to gain international trust and long-term contracts.

SMEs Are Driving Global Trade
Small and medium enterprises now make up over 90% of businesses globally — and they are leading the push toward digital platforms to reach global markets. This is a major opportunity for African producers to use digital trade tools to scale up exports.

Currency Fluctuations Affect Pricing and Demand
The U.S. dollar remains strong, which can make African exports more competitive. However, SMEs must monitor exchange rates closely when pricing products for international markets to maintain profitability.

This week, we challenge you to record a short behind-the-scenes video (30–60 seconds) showing how you package your product for customers or export.

Your video can include:

  • The care you take in packaging

  • The materials you use (e.g., eco-friendly, branded, etc.)

  • A tip or two on how you ensure product safety or presentation

  • A glimpse of your workspace — keep it real!

This helps international buyers see your professionalism, your attention to detail, and your readiness for global markets.

Post on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook and use the hashtag:

The most impressive or creative video gets free promotion on Kuueza’s official social pages next week!

Remember: How you present your product matters just as much as the product itself. Let the world see your process!
